Frequently Asked Questions
What Time & Where Are The Classes? 4th & 5th grade students will attend classes on Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. 6th & 7th grade students will attend from 6:45 – 8:15 p.m. Please note the special class time for all on November 10th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to accommodate the dinner dance. All classes take place at One Memphis Street in Hernando, MS.
Arrival & Departure: Students may arrive 5-10 minutes before class begins and must be picked up punctually. The Hernando Cotillion and One Memphis Street are not responsible for children before or after class.

What is The Dinner Dance? We are excited to include a three-course meal in conjunction with the dining etiquette lesson to promote hands-on learning and engagement. Students will enjoy a sit-down dinner along with dancing during this immersive and informative 2-hour lesson on table manners.
2024 Classes are held at One Memphis Street
Is There a Dress Code? Yes. Students are asked to please follow a strict dress code to ensure their comfort and promote our standards.
LADIES ATTIRE: A conservative dress or skirt and top. Flats or low heels and short white gloves are required. Please no strapless dresses or high heel shoes. The Square Cupboard in town will have a supply of gloves for cotillion ladies to purchase.
GENTLEMEN ATTIRE: A blazer or suit, with a tie. Please also wear a dress shirt with nice shoes or loafers.
Please Notes: No tennis shoes, sneakers, flip-flops or denim (with the exception of the 50s theme party).
Who Are The Instructors? The instructors are trained professionals with more than 20+ years of experience teaching children social skills, manners, etiquette and classic dance. They enjoy teaching children and make each night a fun and educational experience.
